Business Opportunity Lead Generation Tools Comparison - Part 1

Business Opportunity Lead Generation Tools Comparison - Part 1

There are many different tools online for Business Opportunity Lead Generation.

In this series of articles, I will be comparing two very similar tools that I have used for Business Opportunity Lead Generation: the First Family Classifieds service from the Veretekk Business Opportunity Lead Generation System, and the Isell Classified Ads service from Becanada.

Introduction to the two Business Opportunity Lead Generation Systems

Both of these Business Opportunity Lead Generation tools have one primary goal: to collect the contact information of those who are placing online classified ads. Once someone has posted an ad to the site, the site owner now can email them back with a thank-you email which incidentally will contain a subtle promotion for a product or service,

First Family Classifieds is a free service. To get your own First Family Classifieds portal, you sign up for a free Silver Veretekk Business Opportunity Lead Generation System. Then you can start promoting your classified ads service. The system automatically captures the information of everyone posting ads, and by using the Veremail system (part of the Veretekk System), you can send these people emails which promote your Veretekk system. If you upgrade to the Gold Veretekk system at $41.95 a month, you can create your own autoresponder series and send them in either HTML or text. The ads that are posted do not expire.

If you have any problems with signing up for Veretekk or configuring and using your portal, there is plenty of online free training available. You will also have the complete contact details of your Veretekk sponsor. I've never had any problems with the First Family Classifieds Portal, or any of the other Veretekk services, so I've never had to contact my sponsor. The free training was more than sufficient to get me going.

The basic version of Isell is also free, but it is a script which you download and then install on a server. So that means that you will need a domain name and a hosting account. Once you install it, the system provides the capability to send one email to the ad poster to confirm placement of the ad, and another when the ad expires. These emails can be in HTML or text format.

The documentation to install it is clearly written and the install is very simple - just upload the script to the proper place and follow a few simple instructions and you are ready to configure the system. Configuration is a bit more complex - you may have to read the instructions a few times before you understand what they are trying to say.

This system also stores the contact information of ad posters in a database on your site, and you can email them all from the online administrator interface.

Isell has 3 Upgrades available, each of which adds additional features: The Silver Version for $29,95, the Gold version for $69.95, and the Platinum version for $129.95. There are many options available, such as the ability to run paid ads, that would make this a good choice for anyone who would want to run a full-fledged online classifieds service.

If you run into any problems with Isell, all you can do is send an email to Becanada and hope for the best. I recently tried to install Isell, but could not get the admin functions to work. As it turned out, my hosting provider had recently installed some new security software which rendered the Isell admin script inoperative. I dutifully reported this to Becanada. Their reply: "Find another hosting provider." So much for customer support...

In summary then:

- First Family Classifieds is your choice if all you want to do is provide a classified ads portal to enable you to offer a free classified ads service. Signup is easy, you do not need to install or host anything, and configuration help is available.

- Isell Classifieds is your choice if you want to manage and run a complete online Classified Ads service, including paid ads, banner exchanges, and the like. Configuration is moderately difficult, and help is spotty.

In the next article in this series, I will explore how each of these Business Opportunity Lead Generation services provides its own promotional capabilities.
